Rum Running, or the illegal smuggling of alcohol by ship, has had a long history in Nova Scotia. Whether to avoid heavy taxation or to circumvent prohibition laws, ships crossed the seas laden with delicious, buttery rum, often all the way from the West Indies. This soap is a tribute to the pirates and sailors who made their names smuggling rum on the high seas. Now palm free!
